The 6th Annual Great Lakes BIONEERS
We are kicking off the 6th Great Lakes Bioneers Conference in Traverse City today. We will start with a keynote address by local farmer Marty Heller about “Re-creating a Local Food Culture and Why We All Need to Get Involved in Reshaping the Federal Food Bill“.
After that, we break into workshops covering subjects like Social Justice and Michigan’s Migrant Community, Wind Energy, How to Incorporate Activism into Family Life and many more opportunities for synergy. Of course, at mid-day there is an deee-lisious locally envisioned and produced lunch before the afternoon plenary speakers who include Jay Harman, Judy Baca, Judy Wicks, John Abrams before we are blown away by Van Jones.
